Platform Relationship
Zrido is a technology platform operated by Kalmbyte Technologies Private Limited. By registering as a Driver Partner and using the Zrido Driver App, you agree to this Driver Partner Agreement ("Agreement") and Zrido's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Kalmbyte provides the Zrido Platform — including driver-facing mobile applications, ride dispatch technology, fare calculation tools, and payment infrastructure — as a service to facilitate connections between independent Drivers and Riders.
Independent Contractor Status
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are an independent contractor and not an employee, partner, or agent of Kalmbyte.
- You have the freedom to set your own working hours, choose when to log on or off the Platform, and decline ride requests at your discretion (subject to the acceptance rate guidelines herein).
- You are solely responsible for your own taxes, including income tax, GST (if applicable), professional tax, and any other statutory contributions arising from your earnings. Kalmbyte does not deduct, file, or manage your taxes.
- You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining your own health, life, and vehicle insurance coverage. Kalmbyte does not provide any insurance benefits to Driver Partners.
- Nothing in this Agreement prevents you from operating on other ride-hailing platforms simultaneously. Zrido does not impose exclusivity unless you have entered into a separate exclusivity arrangement.

Kalmbyte reserves the right to reject any Driver Partner application at its sole discretion and is not obligated to provide reasons for rejection.
Vehicle Requirements
All vehicles used on the Zrido Platform must meet the following minimum standards:
- The vehicle must not be older than 10 years from the year of manufacture (city-specific restrictions may apply).
- The vehicle must be well-maintained, clean, and in roadworthy condition at all times.
- All mandatory safety equipment (first-aid kit, fire extinguisher) must be present as per MV Act requirements.
- The vehicle must comply with applicable state government pollution norms (PUC certificate current).
- GPS/telematics device must be operational and integrated with the Zrido Driver App throughout each trip.
- The vehicle must match the category you are registered under on Zrido (Moto, Mini, Prime, SUV, etc.).
Driver Obligations
As a Driver Partner, you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules — including the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, relevant state transportation laws, traffic rules, and aggregator regulations.
- Provide Transportation Services in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
- Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs your ability to operate a vehicle safely.
- Maintain a minimum 4.0 star rating on the Platform (subject to review for accounts with fewer than 50 rated trips).
- Accept a reasonable proportion of ride requests (Zrido does not mandate a specific acceptance rate but reserves the right to review patterns of excessive declining).
- Follow the trip route reasonably as directed by the in-app navigation or as requested by the Rider.
- Not accept cash payments if the Rider has selected a digital payment method, and vice versa.
- Not request or pressure Riders to pay additional amounts beyond the metered/app-calculated fare, except for legitimate charges (tolls, waiting fees, etc.) as disclosed in the app.
- Ensure your profile photo, vehicle details, and license plate are accurate and up to date in the Driver App at all times.
- Notify Zrido within 48 hours of any change in your license, vehicle, insurance, or permit status.
- Not allow any unauthorized person to use your Driver account or vehicle for Zrido trips.
Earnings & Zero Commission Model
Zrido's defining feature is its zero commission model. This means:
- You keep 100% of the ride fare paid by the Rider for every trip completed through the Platform.
- Kalmbyte does not deduct any platform commission, service fee, or percentage from your ride fares.
- Applicable GST charged to the Rider on the fare is collected and remitted as required by law. You are responsible for your own GST compliance if your turnover exceeds the GST registration threshold.
How Zrido earns revenue (not from your fares):
- Optional premium Driver subscriptions (enhanced visibility, priority dispatch, analytics tools).
- In-app advertising revenue from third-party brands.
- B2B corporate ride partnerships.
- Value-added services offered directly to Drivers (optional).
Payment Settlement: Where digital payment is used, fare amounts are settled to your registered bank account or wallet within 24–72 hours of trip completion, subject to payment gateway processing timelines.
Fare & Pricing Structure
Fares on the Zrido Platform are calculated using an algorithm that considers base fare, per-km rate, per-minute rate, traffic conditions, and applicable surge multiplier. The fare breakdown is transparent and shown in full to both Driver and Rider before and after each trip.
- Fare Transparency: You can view the fare components for every trip in your Driver App earnings history.
- Surge Pricing: During periods of high demand, a demand multiplier is applied to the base fare. You benefit fully from surge fares — no commission is deducted even during surge periods.
- Waiting Charges: You are entitled to waiting charges if the Rider does not arrive within the free waiting window. These charges are included in the fare and paid to you.
- Tolls & Levies: Tolls and state levies are shown separately in the fare and reimbursed to you in full.
- Cancellation Fee: When a Rider cancels after the free cancellation window, the cancellation fee is paid directly to you as compensation.
Cancellations & No-Shows
- You may cancel an accepted trip only in genuine circumstances (e.g., vehicle breakdown, emergency, Rider safety concern). Excessive Driver cancellations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or deactivation.
- If a Rider does not arrive at the pickup point within the stipulated waiting time and fails to respond to your calls via the in-app calling feature, you may mark the ride as a "no-show." A cancellation fee will be charged to the Rider and paid to you.
- Do not cancel trips after starting the meter in bad faith to inflate earnings. This constitutes fraud and will result in immediate account deactivation and potential legal action.
Ratings & Performance Standards
Zrido operates a transparent, two-way rating system where both Riders and Drivers rate each other after every trip.
- You must maintain a minimum average rating of 4.0 / 5.0 to remain active on the Platform.
- Ratings below 4.0 will trigger a warning. Sustained ratings below 3.7 will result in temporary deactivation pending review.
- You may dispute a rating that you believe was made in bad faith by contacting Driver Support. Ratings made during verified complaint investigations may be removed.
- Zrido may recognize high-performing Driver Partners (4.8+ rating, 500+ trips) with a Pro Driver badge, priority dispatch, and enhanced visibility.
Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate deactivation and may result in criminal prosecution:
- Physical assault, verbal abuse, threats, sexual harassment, or molestation of Riders or any person.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or any intoxicating substance.
- Deliberate route deviation to inflate fares ("fare cheating").
- Refusing rides on the basis of a Rider's gender, religion, caste, race, disability, or destination (within the Platform's service area).
- Creating fake Rider accounts to self-complete trips or manipulate ratings/earnings.
- Requesting Riders to cancel or pay off-platform to avoid commission (there is no commission, so any such request constitutes fraud).
- Transporting prohibited goods, contraband, weapons, or illegal substances.
- Allowing another driver to operate under your registered account.
- Sharing Rider contact information with third parties or using it for any purpose beyond trip communication.
- Recording Riders without consent.
- Impersonating a Zrido employee or representative.
Insurance & Liability
You are solely responsible for maintaining adequate insurance for your vehicle and your activities as a Driver Partner. The minimum mandatory coverage is:
- Third-party vehicle insurance as required under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
- Commercial vehicle insurance covering passenger transportation (your personal vehicle insurance may not cover commercial rides — please verify with your insurer).
- Personal accident cover for yourself (recommended).
Kalmbyte recommends that all Driver Partners obtain comprehensive commercial vehicle insurance with passenger liability cover.
Account Deactivation & Suspension
Kalmbyte reserves the right to temporarily suspend or permanently deactivate your Driver account in the following circumstances:
- Violation of any provision of this Agreement or Zrido's policies.
- Sustained low performance (rating below 3.7 or excessive cancellation rate).
- Receipt of credible complaints of misconduct, harassment, or fraud from Riders.
- Expiry or revocation of your driving license, vehicle permit, or insurance.
- Failure to pass periodic background re-verification.
- Legal orders from government or regulatory authorities.
Appeals Process: If your account is deactivated, you may appeal within 14 days by writing to drivers@zrido.com with supporting evidence. Kalmbyte will review appeals within 10 business days and communicate the outcome. Kalmbyte's decision on appeals is final.
For non-serious violations, Kalmbyte will issue a warning before deactivation, allowing the Driver an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Data & Privacy
By registering as a Driver Partner, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal and professional data (including identity documents, location data, driving records, and trip history) as described in the Zrido Privacy Policy.
Specifically, you acknowledge that:
- Your real-time GPS location is tracked by the Driver App during active trips and for a short period before/after trips for safety and dispatch purposes.
- Your name, vehicle number, and photo are shared with matched Riders before and during rides.
- Trip data, earnings, ratings, and conduct records are retained by Kalmbyte for platform operation, dispute resolution, and compliance purposes.
- Kalmbyte may share your data with regulatory authorities, law enforcement, or judicial bodies as required by law.
Dispute Resolution
Fare Disputes: If a Rider disputes a fare after trip completion, Zrido Support will review the trip data (route, GPS track, waiting time) and make a final determination. During review, the disputed amount may be held in escrow. You will be notified of the outcome within 5 business days.
General Disputes: Any dispute between you and Kalmbyte arising from this Agreement that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat of arbitration shall be Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Rider Complaints: All Rider complaints are investigated fairly. You have the right to submit your account of events for any complaint under review. Decisions are communicated to both parties within 15 business days.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause, any disputes not referred to arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
This Agreement is effective from the date of your acceptance during the Driver registration process and shall remain in force until terminated by either party.
